The African American Faculty and Staff Association (AAFSA) at the University of Texas at Arlington sends our deep condolences to the families and communities impacted by anti-Asian hate, violence, and intimidation.

We condemn racism in all forms and we also acknowledge that COVID-19 has reinvigorated deep seated and systemic issues.

We believe that higher education has the responsibility to embody the ideals of diversity, equity, inclusion for all including UTA’s Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) students, faculty, and staff.
